I’m Suzanne Minor, a QBCC-licensed building designer and the founder of Suzanne Emma Designs, based on the Redcliffe Peninsula , Queensland.
My professional background brings together residential building design, cabinetry and education.
This combination has shaped the way I approach each project — considering both the overall building and the smaller details that influence how a space functions every day.
Suzanne Emma Designs was created to help people make better use of their backyard through small dwellings that are practical, personal and thoughtfully connected to the existing home.
Modular and pod-style designs can be a suitable option for many properties. However, when a standard plan does not quite suit the site, the way the space needs to function or the client’s preferred style, I offer a more tailored design approach.
Each project is developed around the people who will use the space, with careful consideration given to layout, storage, natural light and the relationship with the home and garden.
Whether the vision is Coastal, Japanese-inspired, Bohemian, Shed House or Contemporary Style, the aim is to create a compact building or living space that feels individual, comfortable and suited to the property.
